Teamplace gives more time for bigger projects

Teamplace extends its free and unlimited storage period from 30 to 90 days

Teamplace, the Berlin startup providing unlimited cloud storage for teams, extends its free use period from 30 days to a full 90 days, bringing to bear user feedback.

Offering teams a quick, easy and secure storage option is the idea behind Teamplace, a Berlin startup, whose mainly free service has been available since mid-2015. To achieve this, Teamplace has eliminated all of the restrictions in terms of storage space and numbers of team members commonly found with competing solutions. For each team project, the company offers free, unlimited storage for an unlimited number of members for a limited time. This is because many projects, especially non-work related ones only last just a few days or weeks.

“Of course, Teamplace also offers 10GB of personal, permanent storage for its users free of charge,” said Sebastian Hauser, CMO at Teamplace, “but what makes Teamplace so in demand, is the opportunity to get projects of any size started right away, whenever you want, and to invite additional team members easily – via WhatsApp for example.”

Teamplace users can work on multiple projects simultaneously. 4 weeks after a project expires, the content is completely deleted. This means that users’ data will not stay forever on the internet. If a user chooses to keep their content longer than 90 days, they pay just €5/$6 per month per project. Since there is no limitation too in terms of the number of team members, Teamplace remains by far the best and fairest cloud storage option for teams.

“The experience of our users shows that a time-based limitation of projects is helpful – because Teamplace cleans up more or less by itself. 30 days was too short, especially for larger teams using Teamplace. Their feedback enabled us to extend the period to 90 days”, said Sebastian Hauser. “Users finish the majority of projects within the free time period, with mainly professional users paying for their major long-term projects.”
